Terms of Service
Last updated September 6, 2026
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are an agreement between you and Fedir Alifirenko (“we,” “us,” or “our”) governing your use of PayoffPilot, a web application available at payoffpilot.dev that helps you track credit card debt. By creating an account or otherwise using PayoffPilot, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
1. The service
PayoffPilot lets you manually enter your credit card balances, credit limits, and due dates, and displays your total debt, credit utilization, and a projected debt-free date, and sends payment reminder notifications. PayoffPilot does not connect to your bank or any card issuer — all data is entered by you, and nothing is verified against a real account.
PayoffPilot is offered for your personal, non-commercial use. Currently, PayoffPilot is free to use with no paid subscription; if that changes in the future, these Terms will be updated to describe billing and cancellation before any charge applies to you.
2. Not financial advice
PayoffPilot is a tracking and organizational tool, not a financial advisor. Nothing in the app — including debt-free date projections, interest estimates, or payoff scenarios — is financial, legal, tax, or investment advice, and none of it should be relied on as such. These figures are estimates based on the information you enter and a fixed assumed interest rate; they are not guarantees and may not reflect your card issuer's actual terms. Always confirm balances, due dates, and interest rates directly with your card issuer, and consult a licensed financial professional before making financial decisions.
3. Your account
You must provide accurate information when creating an account and keep your login credentials confidential. You're responsible for all activity that happens under your account. You can delete your account and all associated data at any time from your account settings.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use PayoffPilot to advertise or offer to sell goods or services
- Sell, rent, or otherwise transfer your account to anyone else
- Attempt to access another user's data or interfere with the service's operation
- Use the service for any unlawful purpose
5. Not a registered business
PayoffPilot is operated by an individual as a personal project, not through a registered company. References to “we” or “our” in these Terms and in the Privacy Policy refer to that individual.
6. Disclaimer of warranties
PayoffPilot is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including any warranty that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, or that projections and calculations will be accurate. You use the service at your own risk.
7. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability to you for any claim arising from your use of PayoffPilot is limited to the amount you have paid us, if any, in the twelve months before the claim arose — which, for a free account, is $0. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including missed payments, late fees, or interest charges resulting from your use of, or reliance on, the service.
8. Termination
You may stop using PayoffPilot and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms.
9. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will reflect the most recent revision. We'll aim to give at least 7 days' notice before a material change takes effect, except for changes needed for security reasons or bug fixes, which may take effect immediately.
10. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of Canada. Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of PayoffPilot will be resolved through the courts of Canada.
